Personal Statement

With over 19 years of experience my expertise spans all forms of design and graphic communication from visual brand development, brand activation, campaign media, annual reports, event and exhibition installations, branding retail environments, as well as point of sale and product packaging.

I have worked on a range of advertising and branding projects in the UK and the Middle East across many different industries such as telecommunications, government, automotive, education, finance as well as food & beverage. Clients I have worked with include UNESCO, GM Motors, Marks & Spencer, Homebase, Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland, United Utilities, Doha Bank, The Co-operative Bank and The National Health Service.

2014 - Present, Freelance Graphic Designer
In conjunction with some of the leading creative recruitment consultants in the UK, I have worked with many of the North West’s leading design and advertising agencies on a varied list of B2B and B2C clients including: Marks & Spencer, Homebase, United Utilities, The Co-operative Bank, The NHS, Nuffield Health, B&M and Brother.

2011 - 2014, Art Director, Brand PIM, Bahrain
An active Art Director position where I was required to develop initial concepts, ideas and designs and have regular client meetings and deliver presentations of my work. Furthermore, I was required to oversee the entire production process of various major campaigns in the region. As well as developing my strong problem-solving skills and my ability to work under significant pressure, I also gained experience in managing junior-level professionals.

2010 - 2011, Senior Designer, Vahid Associates, Bahrain
A varied senior design role where I attained experience in the real estate, financial, retail and public sectors.

2006 - 2010, Senior Designer, Miracle Branding, Bahrain
A senior design position in a busy agency where I was pro-actively involved in all areas of the design process. From the initial client briefing and brainstorming sessions, through to highly specified artworking for on-press production. I gained a high level of insight into many aspects of the design spectrum. I was responsible for various big budget design projects, and gained a high level of trust with my clients and employer alike.

2000 - 2006, Graphic Designer, Halewood International, UK
In-house graphic design role for an international company, producing work primarily for the drinks industry. I gained a broad range of design skills and undertook a large variety of projects including: packaging & label design for various high profile beverage brands. Trade & consumer press advertising. Corporate Identity design. Promotional literature. Point of Sale design. Event & trade show branding. Shop front signage. Vehicle livery design. Website design and production.
